Explore A Cellar Door

Barossa Valley wine region located in South Australia is renowned for producing some of the best reds in Australia, and with the vines beginning to bloom again heading into spring, there’s no better time to find yourself a cellar door to explore. The Barossa Valley is also one of the best places to go wine tasting in the country. With more than 80 cellar doors to choose from, you’ll be sure to find your new favourite spot to sip wine. Many cellar doors these days have plenty of entertainment for the kids, so you can sit and enjoy sampling some of the best wines in the region.

The Barossa Valley is not just for the wine enthusiasts. Foodies will also feel right at home with the endless fantastic food experiences to choose from. The Barossa Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings is one event you won’t want to miss. There are over 50 stallholders offering everything from fresh seasonal produce to meats, cheeses, pantry staples, baked goods, and everything in between.

If you’re looking to explore your cooking ability, then head to The Farm Eatery when you can enjoy delicious local food, or you can even take part in one of their many cooking classes.

For some great local accommodation, check out the Williamstown Caravan Park, Talunga Park, or the Murray Recreation and Caravan Park.

Seek the Sun

With minimal humidity and limited crowds, Spring is a great time to head to Queensland’s South Coast or New South Wales far north coast! The average daily temperature still sits at a balmy 22⁰C, so it’s warm enough for a dip at the beach or to relax on the sand. Head to Wave Break Island for a guided snorkel tour, where you’ll have the chance to see up to 50 different species of fish!

It’s also a great time to hit the theme parks, with queues being much shorter than the busier summer months. Get your adventure fix at Movie World, Dreamworld and Sea World with their thrill rides offering endless fun for the whole family. Wet’n’Wild and WhiteWater World also offer plenty of nonstop fun with the water kept at 25⁰C, but don’t forget about the chill factor if it comes up breezy so be sure to pack some warmer clothes.

If you’re looking for great accommodation options check out First Sun Holiday Park, Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park in Byron Bay or Somerset Park Campground or Ocean Beach Tourist Park in QLD.
